Completely forgot to post this when it happened, but I finally made it! I may not ever touch my Permadeath save again, but it will still be there in case I change my mind.

Why does No Man’s Sky Permadeath = Me Constantly Dying From Sheer Stupidity?
I’ve had No Man’s Sky since it launched on the PS4 and I have a Normal mode save on my Xbox with over 600 hours invested. I have a pretty good grasp on the mechanics of the game, and I honestly can’t remember the last time I died in my Normal mode save. Why is it, then, that I keep dying from stupidity every time I try to play on Permadeath?
My most recent death was a result of my drowning while swimming through an underwater tunnel and not having a way to refill my oxygen with me. I have never done this in a Normal game! I guess Permadeath just makes my brain permanently dead. 🧠 💀
On the bright side, though, at least the new Origins update gives me the opportunity to see lots of new things when I restart my Permadeath run… 🤷🏻♂️
